Register your Thai Marriage

Many foreigners who visit the beautiful country of Thailand enjoy the place so much that they would like to retire and stay there for ever. The breathtaking sights and sounds of Phuket, Pattaya, and other cities by the beach can captivate any visitor. If they happen to be single, they are usually mesmerized by the captivating beauty of the people of Thailand.

Sometimes, foreign nationals fall in love and would want to marry citizens of Thailand. The first step for such alliances would be to find out what laws govern the creation of a marriage between the people of these two countries. Depending on where the foreigner comes from, that country may have their own laws and regulations which must be completed for this marriage to be valid and legal.

Retire in Chiang Mai

For most of us, a vacation at an exotic paradise is a dream, one which may occur for a maximum of two weeks a year in our lives. Unfortunately, we have to return to the daily struggles including work, raising children, traffic, commutes, smog, pollution and crowds to continue earning for the rest of the year. What if we didn’t have to return to our miserable existence, but live in paradise all year long?

What if the kids are grown and moved away and all we have are ourselves (and maybe our spouses) and would love to finally enjoy the fruits of our hard work and labor all these years? Many of us try to save money for retirement, but with the terrible economic situations in USA or Europe, the money may not last very long even if we live in a small, one bedroom apartment in a congested city. The standard of living is high, medical claims paralyze us and life doesn’t seem so wonderful anymore when we see our savings dwindling away to nothing.

Buying Property in Thailand
As Thailand recovers from the Asian economic crises in the early part of this century, the opening up of real estate in the popular tourist spot is making waves in the real estate market. To protect the Thai citizens, the government has set some rules regarding property ownership rights of foreign expatriates to the kingdom of Thailand.

Foreign nationals are not allowed to own land in Thailand. However, they are allowed to buy or lease a unit such as a registered Thailand condominium. A percentage of these condominiums in the same building or land should be owned by Thai nationals. Foreign nationals may apply and acquire registered leasehold of up to 30 years for certain types of Thailand property subject to government regulations and permission.

Thai Work Pemit : Chiang Mai

Many foreigners who visit Thailand love the place and want to stay there forever. Some of these tourists are retired and may be able to live there on their retirement income, but there are many who may wish to work in Thailand to support their families. According to the rules of Thailand, all foreign citizens working in Thailand require a valid document called the Thai Work Permit .

The first requirement to get a Thai work permit is to get a job offer, of course. Some of the jobs popular with visitors are English Teaching, Writing and editing jobs. Also available are computer and IT jobs, Engineering positions, jobs in the Entertainment and Music industry, Chefs specializing in International cuisines and jobs with specialized skills that may not be available in Thailand. There are also many non-citizens who would like to work in the Tourist industry by opening their own businesses.
